Los Chicos is a small locally owned Auckland business specialising in teaching Spanish to young learners. Our main Spanish Time programme is comprised of weekly 45 minute bilingual child & parent sessions incorporating active movement, interactive stories, music and play. Our programme is designed to help families learn Spanish together in a fun, child-centred environment.
Our weekly classes take place at Te Puru (between Maraetai & Beachlands). We also offer a children’s book translation service and adult group or private one-on-one Spanish Language tuition.

Elaine Parnell and Adriana Ross are both mothers of young children who live in Auckland, New Zealand. Their experience and passion for raising their children bilingually has fuelled their ambitions to launch Los Chicos, a small business in their community aimed primarily at offering structured playgroups/classes to teach Spanish to children under five years old.
Elaine Parnell
Exchange student-> degree -> diploma of teaching -> 2 years high school, Thailand, MIT, Los Chicos + Maraetai School. Mother of two (ages 4,6)
Adriana Ross
A native Spanish speaker from Colombia, qualified in early childhood education. Playcentre for 5 years, completed SPACE program. Mother of three (ages 3,5,8)
