I hope you’re all enjoying las vacaciones and a break from the usual routine. I’m looking forward to our trip to the Botanical Gardens on Monday 4th October (leaving Beachlands at 9am). ALAC (Auckland Latin American Community) is running their school holiday programme again these holidays on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Both Adriana and went along last holidays and the kids really enjoyed themselves and it was a great opportunity to hear other people speaking Spanish. We even knew the songs they sung! Below are the details:
When: Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th October
Where: Onehunga Community House – 83 Selwyn Street
Time: 10:00 – 1:00 (bring afternoon tea)
Cost: Gold coin donation or $10 for drop off

As you know, we’re changing from running our classes at Te Puru to rotating around each others’ houses. This means that we’ll be able to take the opportunity to explore and develop vocabulary around the familiar environment of home.
