I really like the way this book helps deliver the message that knowing a second language makes them special. Although it “mixes” Spanish with English, it does so tastefully and effectively. It is beautifully illustrated too!
In Tito, the Firefighter / Tito, el bombero, Tito admires his neighborhood bomberos (firefighters) and dreams of being a bombero himself someday. But, he never dreamed that his ability to speak both English and Spanish would actually help the firefighters save the day. This format uses English text and a sprinkling of Spanish.
